Caol Ila Stitchell Reserve Whisky

A rather unusual unpeated malt from Caol Ila, this time named in honour of retired distllery manager Billy Stitchell. Light brown sugar, hay, pine sap and a hint of oak char welcome you on the nose while the palate is sweet and rich with honeyed malt, dried fruits and allspice. The finish is toffee apples, golden syrup and a faint whiff of coal smoke.
